La Manga and the »Mar Menor«
 La Manga
is a peninsula between the so called Mar Menor and the mediterranean sea. It is in the province of Murcia and to get there, you'll have to go to Cartagena on the coastal motorway. A few kilometers before you´ll reach Cartagena, you have to turn to the left and follow the motorway all along until you reach the entrance of La Manga. A long time before you´ll get there, you can see the houses and hotels of La Manga and the islands in the Mar Menor.
The Mar Menor is a salt water lagune separated from
the sea by the sandy island of La Manga, which is 24 km long and
from 100 to 1.200 m wide. The water has a high salt concentration
and is very healthy with rheumatism, skin problems and allergies.
 For
the water is not deep and has a higher temperature than the sea, it is
always a good and safe place to swim for the whole family, especially with children.
For all those who need more challenges: the shore of the mediterranean sea offers an underwater reserve, which is an ideal place for scuba diving.
Sailing and surfing is always a good choice as well in the Mar Menor as in the sea.  There will be a new harbour built. The existing marina is connected to the sea by a canal passing underneath the new folding bridge, which brings you to the very end of La Manga.
Apart from that La Manga has a famous golf resort and long sandy beaches along the whole of the peninsula. Many bars, cafes and restaurants invite you to take a drink between the two seas.
We want to offer you a villa on La Manga. It is in an Urbanisation called La Veneziola and has canals and embarkation points for the chalets.
This is a very privileged situation: quiet and with wonderful views to both seas. Facilities are nearby and a bus stop is only 200 m from the house.
